Just an Update

I am so sorry that I am just now getting around to posting new stuff. Sarah Catherine did my blogging for me through my pregnancy, so I am just now learning how all this is done!!!!
Anyways... We three are doing great! We are living in Osceola, which is about 30 minutes from Blytheville. Matt received a teaching/coaching job there and we love it! Hayden is growing fast. O my gosh... he is almost 6 months old! He loves to smile, eat sweet potatoes and crawl as fast as he can away from his mommy so she will run and catch him! He is such a funny kid! He is NOT sleeping through the night, but we are hoping soon!
Me... I am getting the privledge to stay at home with him! I am putting school on hold until we move closer to UCA! I have one more year!! Staying at home is amazing, but it is also teaching me some patience that I didn't know I had in me! It is the hardest, worst, best thing I have ever done! I am loving every single minute of it!

Thoughts about Hayden...

I was thinking about Hayden’s birth today and some remarkable things struck me for the first time. I thought about how elated we all are about him being in our lives. Then I thought about how God was much more excited about Hayden’s birth than we are. God has known when Hayden would come into our lives long before Matt and Cassie found out. God has already given Hayden gifts, abilities, and talents. He knows exactly what Hayden will look like and how many hairs are on his head. God even knows the day that Hayden will make a choice to accept Christ into his heart. I am so excited to hold him and baby-sit him, but I am more excited to see the little man he will become.

Thank You!

Hayden had his first baby shower on Saturday, February 2, 2008. Ashley and Minette were wonderful hostesses and they did a wonderful job on the shower! Everything was beautiful and Hayden got wonderful presents. As Cassie's friend, I have to say THANK YOU to everyone who gave such wonderful gifts! They were all just perfect. Sarah Catherine

The Great Grandparent Debate

Everyone I know that has had a baby has always had “The Great Grandparent Debate.” So here is what my family has laid out so far… Mom wants to be called Nana, and my Dad wants to be called Grandpa. Matt’s mom wants to be called Grandma Di and Matt’s dad wants to be called Papaw. Matt says Hayden can call them whatever he wants! hehe! Hayden’s not even born yet but he is already spoiled!

If you have any Grandparent suggestions let us know.

Latest trip to the doctor...

Well we got to go on our 2-week field trip to see Hayden yesterday. Pawpaw came with Mom and me for his first ever ultrasound viewing. Hayden weighed 4 pounds 14 ounces and his heartbeat was 162. His heartbeat sounded like a galloping horse. He is also in the 60th percentile. We got a beautiful ultrasound picture of his little face that I will post as soon as I get a chance. He looks so cute!

Matt and I are just so excited! We cannot believe we are so close to seeing our little man.
